Reading this interview, with the people that created , nurtured and grow one of the companies that I respect the most, Adobe, you can learn a lot about how you should and shouldn't do business. Thanks to Rostislav ( the creator of SWF address) for sharing this with me.

How do you know if a technology really works

I ask this question my self over and over again when we create new software applications. Finally I found one that is hands down working because I saw my 2 and half year old working with it :)

Bamboo Space - Ideas need Space

GUGGA team has created yet another successful RIA, BambooSpace. This time collaborating with WACOM the worlds largest pen tabled provider. The idea is to enable people to create , share and distribute information with ease and to enable pen tablet users to be even more creative and collaborative.
With this post I want to thank everyone in our team for their hard work and great dedication to deliver yet another great experience in the world of RIA. We have improved our process learned a lot and discovered great new friends which share out passion for great software. Thank you all as it was a pleasure to be a part of this experience.

Bombay Sapphire Redesign

Bombay Sapphire was by far the most complex piece of RIA we have build to date. It sounds very simple maybe even plane but behind it are countless hours of work of all the best minds we have in our team at GUGGA. This really was a team effort. At some point the whole team was focused on delivering this beautiful , rich experience , this little monster that at some points seamed beyond our reach but at the then end turned to be something to be very proud of. Thank you everyone for your commitment to deliver this new level of experience. I know it sounds too self indulgent to expose it this way but I really am proud of all the people I get to work every day and the results we deliver day after day. Everyone has proved we can be great together and we can build things that others can only dream of.

Rich Internet Experiences

The world is changing. Finally Its no longer about me sitting on my desktop at home or how do I show someone my loved once through a web browser at work behind a corporate firewall or can you check the weather on your cell phone. Its about YOU and YOUR ability to access YOUR information, YOUR media , YOUR experiences , YOUR memories, YOUR feelings , YOUR work , YOUR play and be able to do it anywhere from everywhere. Its not there yet but its coming and there is not turning back. Its not about technology its about experiences. Its not about compromises its about smoothness of interactions and seamless almost magical experiences.
Its not there yet but its going to be , very fast and I can only be ecstatic about it. Its a revolution, in thinking, in acting, in not accepting meritocracy, in interacting with others and information. Finally its getting there...

Kick starting the Flex community in Bulgaria

I think I'm on to something. Something that I like very much about my work and that keeps me loving what I do at work everyday. Slowly and painfully our work, enthusiasm and example are changing the landscape and more and more people involved in creating software in Bulgaria are turning their faces to Rich Internet Applications and how they can change the world we live in . Every day little by little. After the success of the Flex CAmp event we have successfully started the first user group for Flex one of the primary technologies today to create RIA. Why is this so important, because I believe with a technology that enables you in so many ways you can truly focus on what is important in your work. Creating software that enables and inspires people to create. We have a long way to go but I think there is no turning back. A University course is under way for Flex and we will support their efforts as well. I see more and more people starting to appreciate what Flex can do for their business and to enable them to deliver more. Its strange that a technology can do that , but at the end the ideas behind that technology and the overall effort to create different kind of experience are the things that actually do the trick. And while technologists may find different reasons to use Flex I believe the end result would be something of greater significance, software that is better.

The first Flex Camp event in Bulgaria

I'm glad to share with you all that something of great significance has happend. The first Flex Camp event in Bulgaria went fantastic. I was able to organize with the particiaption of Adobe the first major event related to Flex in Bulgaria. Adobe was kind enough to include Sofia in there tight schedule and we had a guest Serge Jespers, a technical evangelist join us and tell us about Flex and AIR and all the new and exciting stuff happening arround them.
Why is this so important because this is the first time so many people interested in Flex and RIA in Bulgaria have been gathered in one place. I hope this will kick start a chain of events leading to putting Bulgaria and our Flex community in the map of the world because I firmly beleive that we have a lot of things to be proud of and share with the rest of the community.
Everyone reading this and interested in Flex feel free the newly formed Official Flex User Group here
